Compared to even five years ago, we have so much tech at our fingertips to help us get to where we want to be.
If you ain't using it, trust me, you're missing out!
So, what are my personal, favourite gadgets and apps & how do they work?
Well, obviously, my number 1 fat reduction strategy would be 3DLipo Ultimate Pro!
If you haven't heard of myzone, then this is one of my (and many top PT's) favourite pieces of equipment for measuring calories burnt and workout your zones.
- The myzone comprises of a chest belt with clever pads on the internal face. The belt is placed around your chest so the pads sit tight on the skin. You then put the measuring 'egg' onto it and this then measures your workout rate and the zones of work effort you are achieving (grey is rest, red is top with 3 other colours in between), your heartrate & other data. You can wear this remotely from the app on phone and then download it onto the app when home or & how I like it, when working out at home or in the gym, the phone is directly linked to the 'egg' & this shows a 'real-time' visual display of where you are at in your colour zone & data.
- You set your weight & age on the app & myzone will calculate what you need to do to be working out at differing levels.
- You can link this to other friends working out & see their commitment - great for competition!
- TRUST ME, when you have it on visual, you will PUSH yourself to the maximum you can, it's just human nature!
What about the MyFitnessPal app; this is a fantastic way to actually track your REAL calories as long as you're HONEST!
- So easy to use
- You can link yours to like minded friends for extra motivation!
- everyday is a diary day that moves automatically
- you log your breakfast, lunch, dinner, all snacks & drinks. Mostly, these have already been logged by someone else so you don't have to input this data in, MFP has it already stored. If not, you can scan the barcode in and it will normally have this logged.
- It breaks down your calories, % of protein, fat & carbs you've consumed so you can make adjustments to your diet.
- If you understand macros (& if you're an ectomorph, a mesomorph or endomorph) , you can also set this. If not, we can set this when you see me.
There are so many others out there - if you're a runner or rider, strava is a great app. Again, you can link to others to push that competition!
If you want to change your mind & body, I strongly recommend looking into these apps; you're investing in 3Dlipo, invest in some tech as well.
